Rick Kaplowitz, EdD, is co-author of SAN FRANCISCO VALUES: Common Ground for Getting America Back on Track. Dr. Kaplowitz has served as a senior executive in academia and in technology including Raytheon (Defense Systems division), Gartner (technology consulting), and colleges on both the east and west coasts of the US. Rick grew up on a dead-end street in Brooklyn. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Brooklyn College and his master’s degree at Columbia University, taught mathematics in Brooklyn and in France, and then earned his doctorate at Harvard University, studying at the schools of education and management, with a focus on organizational change. He and his wife / co-author live in Palo Alto.
