Bastian Buck, Chief Standards Officer, is leading the team that develops the GRI Standards, the most widely used global sustainability reporting standards with over 10,000 companies across more than 100 countries applying the GRI Standards in their reporting.
He is the spokesperson for the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB) and member of the GRI Management Board.
Bastian has 15+ years experience in sustainability reporting standard setting across the whole spectrum of economic, environmental, social and governance topics and a proven track-record in facilitating consensus-seeking processes in global multi-stakeholder settings.
Bastian has advocated GRI’s perspective on sustainability reporting at events and engagements in more than 45 countries.
He is a graduate of the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (Master of Science, Business Administration) and Maastricht University (Bachelor of Science, Economics).
